The clock is ticking down, and our first campaign run on BackerKit is coming to a close TODAY at 10:00 PM CT. Your support has been invaluable in bringing Clockwork Tower to life, and we couldn't be more excited to share it with you.

 Collecting Funds
Once the campaign concludes at 10:00 PM CT, BackerKit will begin the process of collecting funds.

Changes in Reward Deployment
As this is our first venture with BackerKit, the process for deploying your rewards will be a bit different to those of you that have backed PBA projects on Kickstarter. We will be utilizing BackerKit's Pledge Manager, which will go live in the next couple of days. You will receive links to download all Digital Rewards and have the chance to update your address for any physical rewards very soon.

Immediate PDF and Updates
At 10:30 PM CT this evening, I will post an update that only Backers can access that provides a link to a PDF of the game. A second PDF will be released once the Pledge Manager is active, including the names of everyone who selected the “Name added to the book” add-on. We want you to have immediate access to the campaign so we can celebrate together!

Upcoming Campaign: The Illustrated Troll
I'm thrilled to announce that the landing page for our next exciting endeavor, "The Illustrated Troll," is now live. This new project features a collection of three 1-shot adventures and will go live September 12. Check it out and stay in the loop!

Final 24 Hours for the Clockwork Tower Kickstarter Campaign!
over 1 year ago – Mon, Sep 04, 2023 at 04:59:47 AM

Hello Adventurers,

We are thrilled to announce that we've reached the final 24 hours of our Kickstarter campaign for "Clockwork Tower!" The writing is complete, the edits are done, and we're getting ready to publish. We couldn't have made it this far without your incredible support.

If you've been sitting on the fence, now is the time to jump in! Make sure to upgrade your pledge, grab those add-ons, and spread the word. Let's make this last day count!

Special Gift: Download "Freshman Fright" for Free!

As a token of our appreciation, we're offering all our backers an exclusive chance to download "Freshman Fright," a fun back-to-school adventure that's perfect for players of all levels and can be played in 15-30 minutes. I was grocery shopping yesterday when my brother texted me about his anxieties and excitements for going back to school. Meanwhile, I've been itching to read Stephen King's "Christine" (huge King fan here!). Suddenly, it clicked! Why not combine the back-to-school spirit with a bit of supernatural spookiness? And thus, "Freshman Fright" was born!

Download it here now and get your adventure started!

The gears are turning, and time is ticking down. Let's make these last 24 hours unforgettable!

Best wishes,

Matt and the Team

Results from VTT Poll
over 1 year ago – Sat, Sep 02, 2023 at 06:06:00 AM

Thank you so much for participating in our recent poll about Virtual Tabletop (VTT) tools! Your input is invaluable as we continue to develop and optimize our campaign.

📣 Exciting News!

I'm delighted to announce the VTT formats we'll be supporting, based on your feedback:

  • UniversalVTT
  • Foundry
  • Roll20
  • Fantasy Grounds
  • AboveVTT

In addition to these VTT formats, we'll also provide:

  • JPEGs of the maps both with and without labels
  • Black & White printer-friendly versions of the maps

Unfortunately, we won't be able to support WebM for two reasons:

  1. Creating WebM files consumes a lot of time on my current setup. My computer crashed after running for two hours.
  2. The resulting WebM files are huge making them difficult to manage and distribute.

As always, drop a comment below. I can already hear the comments on needing to get a new computer ;~)

Thanks once again for your input and your ongoing support!

Best,

Matt and the team

What Is Your Preferred VTT/Online File Type for a Seamless Online Gaming Experience!
over 1 year ago – Thu, Aug 31, 2023 at 11:17:30 AM

As the world of online role-playing games (RPGs) continues to evolve, so do the tools that make these experiences more immersive and interactive. Today, we want to talk about Virtual Tabletops (VTTs) and online file types that make the magic happen. But more importantly, we want to hear from you about what you prefer to use.

What are Virtual Desktop Tools?
Before we dive into the poll, let’s briefly introduce the concept of Virtual Desktop Tools for those who may be new to online RPGs. Virtual Desktop Tools serve as an online platform that simulates the experience of sitting around a physical tabletop. These VTTs offer features like interactive maps, character tokens, and built-in rulesets to make gameplay as smooth as possible. Simply put, they're the backbone of any great online tabletop experience.

We Want to Hear From You!
The variety of VTTs and file types available can be both exciting and overwhelming. That's why we want to streamline your gaming experience by offering compatibility with the tools you already love and use.

So, what’s your preferred VTT or online file type? Are you a Roll20 aficionado, or does Fantasy Grounds have your heart? Do you prefer battlemaps in JPEG, PDF, or another format?

Your input will help us tailor our upcoming releases, making sure you can dive into your gaming sessions with minimal fuss. After all, no one wants to spend precious gaming time wrestling with file conversions!

We can't wait to hear your thoughts. Happy gaming!

Best regards,
Matt and the PBA Team
